Tnilli Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Hehe Carlos Beltran is back at Minute Maid Park but this time not in an Astros uniform. I can't WAIT till the boo's pour in. MUAHAHAHA. Willy T is the man. Quote
Tnilli Posted July 29, 2005 Author Posted July 29, 2005 My favorite part was the fact that not only did Beltran get boo'ed when he hit but also when any ball was hit into center field. That was hilarious. Quote
Brian Ngo Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I didn't get to see the game..I hope it was good Quote
Sockercon Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 what a game, i missed the original time, but on fox sports net the were playing it at 3 in the morning, i was junmping on my couhc when Ausmus hit the base hit to win the game, TAKE THAT MARTINEZ, or what ever his name is Quote
mbui Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 The Astros continue to amaze me. Reminds me of last year? Definitely. Two months ago the 'Stros were one of the worst teams in the league. At one point they were 15-20 games below .500. Now, they are the Wild Card leader in the National League and are in playoff contention. Quote
Tnilli Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 I can say right now...Astros are playing better baseball than anyone in the league. The A's are doin good too, but nothing like this. Of course its nice to play the Mets now before their potential addition of Manny Ramirez. That could get ugly... Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Two words......YEAH BABY!! About time Texas had a good sports team! PRAISE BE TO HEAVEN!! Quote
Tnilli Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 About time...? I know its been down, but we have some very, VERY good teams in texas and this year they should dominate. Cowboys (as much as i hate to say it) look like they are in good shape to do some damage, seriously. Texans...well...lets just get to .500 boys, If david carr finally steps up, we could make it to the playoffs. Again, as much as i hate to say it, the Mavs are lookin good to get right back where they ended this year, to only be beaten by the Rockets this time around. The addition of Swift is really gonna bring another factor to the Rockets and this could very well be the team we see back in the NBA finals. Of course lets not forget the spurs, they are awsome. Astros and Rangers are both doing well, Astros more than the Rangers. Astros have got a solid team finally, except for the meltdowns of the bullpen every now and then (*cough TODAY *cough). Rangers...if they got even 1 ace...they'd really be something. Their pitching is ok...but its what holding them back. YAY for texas sports. (i guess i just gave my 2 cents on sports...oh well ) Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Texas just has gone downhill w/ sports. I just never remembered liking a winning team in the Great State of Texas! I was an Oilers fan when Cowboys were good, I never liked the Spurs, and I was too young to enjoy the Rockets 94-95 victories. My sports memories begin with the Killer B's, a bad Spurs team, and the Oilers hi-tailimg it to Tennesee because the owner was a $@%*. Quote
Tnilli Posted August 7, 2005 Author Posted August 7, 2005 Haha this is all very true. But it is good to see it start turning around. Quote
