chickora Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 If you guys have any information on what happened to the Round Rock band, please contact the Round Rock Police department. A majority of the clarinets got rob, with some Saxophones, and a trumpet player.. Quote
borchnork Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 what happened? did somebody actually take the instruments???? that's low. Quote
sax5warrior Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Megan. Isn't this the 2nd time y'all got robbed? I remember my freshman year you told me about it. See, I remember everything =] That is BS. Quote
chickora Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Yeah, it is, but the other time the people got caught. This time, they got away with it. But its stupid,...and no instruments weren't stolen because we brought them with us and plus, it was during a football game. But peoples' bags were dumped over with stuff taken from them such as money, cell phone, credit card purchases of class rings, debit cards, bags with valuable things in(my bag was one of them), purses, car keys, etc. It was just devastating. The band hall was locked too or so they say. Quote
bass~beetch Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 omg that happened to us too my freshman year!! they busted the doors to the band hall and stole a lot of crap and threw our clothes all over the band hall!! they freaking pryed half our lockers open too.. Quote
borchnork Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 wow, that's horrible. I think our band director would go insane is something like that happened. thankfully we have a camera in the band hall by the door entrance. Quote
Nancy08 Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 This happened to us last year and it turned out it was a band kid, or former band kid, one of the two. The cameras in our band hall are broken, but lucky for us a camera caught the kids as they snuck through the commons area... I really hope you guys catch whoever is doing this... Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 wow, that is just horrible. and this is the second time??? i wish you guys luck. Quote
whitewing09 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 someone broke into our band hall, but they were dumb they tried taking the deposit box thingy, and the people only keeps like nickels and stuff in their cuz they makes a deposit everyday Quote
bossman Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Wow...we have little incidents like this ALL the time. It was really bad last year too. Plus last year we had cameras that didnt work. Alot of ppl were SOL. Quote
chickora Posted September 29, 2007 Author Posted September 29, 2007 We have cameras in our band hall. And we know what the criminals look like. Just can't associate a name with the faces.. But apparently, one of the ladies was a 30 year old woman or so, with 2 10-9 year children, and a couple of teenagers like us.. Creeepy. Quote
borchnork Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 that's awful to teach your kids how to steal at such a young age. I think that that is worse than actually committing the crime. Quote
borchnork Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 this actually started to happen with us in the past two weeks, but they were able to catch who it was and they were punished. Quote
Salesmonkey Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 We had someone come in during practice last week and steal a bunch of ipods, cell phones, money and various other valuables. They were caught on camera and found the following monday. Quote
thePIXELelement Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Meep, some kids broke some of the windshields of some of the band students' cars while they were at the game but they took nothing...and I remember some kids broke into the locker room at our stadium during a soccer game and stole pretty much everything las year...and even had the audacity to throw some of it into a nearby creek... Band Of Champions Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Why can't people just work for things? Quote

Sad but true that our society has people that feel like stealing is the only way to get what they want. The good solution to the problem: Get a job, save money, buy wanted object... Quote

Although a majority of thieves tend to resell instruments online or sell them at a pawn shop. Quote

Band Of Champions Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Yeah, I hate what this world has come to. People are so lazy now, they'd rather spend 5 minutes to steal someone's stuff than to work a honest 8hr shift. Quote
