Guest Guest_DonnaCassie_* Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 What does everyone think about all the bands that performed last Saturday? It was a very intense night... full of great shows. Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Of course there were some great bands at Houston, but not any match the the bands at Arlington. Quote
whitewing09 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 well thats a weird remark... i do think Churchill Reagan and Bowie can compare and beat most of the bands at Arlington Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Oh I agree there were great bands at Houston, but not nearly as many. And I'm not quite sure about Reagan beating most of the bands at Arlington. I thought their show was quite sloppy when i saw them at Houston. Quote
gavinrh Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 i think people should remember that bands that went to arlington had a whole extra week to clean/produce their shows... Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Still with that in mind, I think the competition was of a greater magnitude. Especially because of the bands that pulled out of Houston at the last minute that showed up at Arlington. Quote

lionbc Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I have to admit that Reagan disappointed me... Churchill got rained on. Maybe God liked their show so much that even he had to cry... Did that happen in Arlington? Quote

Band Of Champions Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Sorry, but atleast now you know what I meant. Quote
whitewing09 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 maybe theyll pull off a bell 2005, make a bunch of alteration and do awesome at gnats Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I hope so. I think everyone enjoys when Reagan's good. lol Quote
BassSnout21 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 The reason reagan isn't so great this year is because mark chambers, their head director for all these past years, left to go direct the Crossmen. That was a big blow to them. Plus they lost a really good senior class from last year and are trying to compensate. And what's worse, they're school is overcrowded so the districts making a new HS to take up half of what is Reagan. So they're band will be half of what it is now. This year was supposed to be their last year of greatness before the split, but they are struggling from all of their losses. Quote
barisaxy08 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 either way, I was impressed with all the bands that were at BOA Arlington. I was surprised not to see Hebron in finals...that was new to me. Owasso marching music from blue shades is pretty tight to me. There was a drum corp that did that this summer and it sounded pretty tight. I wish I could have seen all the shows...especially Marcus'. When i was in retreat, I saw their colorguard outfits and seen the props and I thought that it all looked pretty tight (especially the huge lady bug). It was a fun night. Quote
