ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 the last block is pretty crazy. Falls, Cedar Park, Langham, and Duncanville. Quote
yayband07 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 i know right? im so excited to see falls show and see how far langham has gotten the that whole japanese thing Quote
Xenon Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 I should also add that I plan on being there for the last block and Finals. Quote
takigan Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 And I shall be there because I go to this school and have to work the competition . Hopefully I don't get scheduled during the last block....that would suck <_ .> Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 and I shall be there because my band is marching at 11:15 or so. Quote
radchad Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Mansfield Legacy isn't going anymore. That is where I tech. Since it is outside the district or something dumb like that, the school won't pay for the busses. So it would have to come out of the pockets of the band parents, and that can't happen. So. Haha. Quote
takigan Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Aww, Legacy isn't going? A shame, I was looking forward to their show.... At least I get to see the 3:45+ block....I'm a parking monitor for the equipment trucks from 1-3:45, so I'll have to bee-line it into the stadium to catch Falls at 3:45.... Man.....the Area C, Area D and Area F (? I think Langham's from F) champions from last year all gathered in a non-BOA/Non-UIL open ended venue.....not very often you see that. It's like a fated convening of Gods or something...... Quote
ClaireAnnette07 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I wish I could go and see my old high school band, Channelview...but I dont think I can make the trip from Austin AND manage to get studying done for my psych midterm..haha Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I saw Duncanville's show Friday night and some of it is just amazing. The clarinet and trumpets.. amazing. Quote
mbui Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Looks like a great line-up. A few heavy hitters in the last block with Cedar Park, Cypress Falls, Duncanville & Langham Creek. I saw all of the Cypress schools yesterday and they all looked and sounded great. I Hope Cypress Woods does well. They have a great show this year. I saw them at BOA Houston as well as Region 27 and I can't get enough of it. Quote
Guest Irish_pole Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 So does anyone know any suprises? Any bands that have come out with a great show that arent "heavy hitters"? Quote

erasure101 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Wasn't The Woodlands scheduled to perform at this contest per their myspace profile? Quote

takigan Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Somebody pulled out earlier today....I didn't get to ask who it was but the Director of Bands here at Sam mentioned it at marching band practice this evening...... Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 good luck to all. report time is 7am for us, so I probably won't be able to see a response. are we doing a meetme event for this?? Quote

Band Of Champions Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Anyone have pre-lims results yet? Quote
takigan Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 All I know right now is that Cedar Park was first in prelims, Cy Falls came in second...from there I'm not sure, I wasn't paying attention, but I know Duncanville got like 4th or 5th which was really surprising. I'm in my apartment right now getting some grub, getting ready to head back there and watch finals....I think Tomball goes first at 7 or 7:15. Quote
