Hey mellophones, what are some traditions that you guys do at your school? And post any cool ideas that you have/had for section shirt designs. I'm trying to decide ours.

we sing a song. unfortunately im not allowed to say the lyrics... or else... lets just say the song has mello written all over it.

We were talking about getting shirts last year but it never went through. We couldn't come up with anything decent. The trumpets had the most amazing shirt though. It had the silhouette of a trumpet player and above it was "Kicking brass and taking names."

SWEET. One suggestion for ours was "As a matter of fact, we DO blow our own horns."

our shirt last year was 'grab life by the horn' and we had like a dodge font with a horn in the little upside down pentagon thingy. it was pretty cool. not gonna lie.

ours is just basicly our names on the back and a whole lotta inside jokes everywhere else

This was our shirt this year (too bad we didn't get to use it at State ). We don't really have many slogans, sometimes we say "On three, 1, 2, 3...HOORAH" which is kind of lame, and before all of our performances we do our handshake and say "Unleash the beast!" Next year (when I'm section leader, hopefully) we're probably going to come up with a few more things to do and make us more of a section, we're kind of scattered.
