No doubt about that. They have a very unique sound that is very refreshing. I think their problems in the hornline last season stemmed from balance issues. The sopranos tended to overblow during some sections. The cool thing about the corps is that they seem to really analyze their weaknesses in scoring and try to improve on them each season. Quote

Well thats what happens whe you have Van Doren... but vanguard has him and bob chreste. little bit of crown sound at vanguard maybe? Does anyone know if it is true they are extremely like star in the way they rehearse? (crown) oh and skippy the answer to you r question is: you ask other people... or you could be on the front sideline while everyone else was behind you. Quote

You have got to feel good about it because your hands are superior. Your hands are superior. There's no question about that." It gives me chills each time I watch it. Quote

When news came out that we werent in finals we just went to the stands and watched the rest of the corps. I believe i got back just in time for Blue Coats. I also saw them in finals, but basically from the endzone. I could barely hear phantom playing from way over there... Quote
Skippy Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Oh ok. You just said that Blue Stars was louder than Phantom, and since you were in the Blue Stars, I didn't know how you would know that without being able to observe both from the same vantage point. Quote

Ah, that was a show a few weeks before finals. I had a nasty bug and I couldn't make it through a show without throwing up. Quote
Skippy Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 ah, dude, that sucks. I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to watch a performing group of mine from the outside. Not band or corps or anything. I don't really get sick or break any bones or anything. Quote

I got to see a lot of things I'd never seen in our show before. But I would've rather been marching any day of the week Quote
WestCoastCorpsFan Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 When it happened to me, I felt bad that I wasnt't out there working my butt off with them. Quote
