That must've been hilarious. On a slightly related note, now were the kids inside the ladybug able to see? Were there holes or were the black spots see-through or what?

ya. my friend is in that band and they said they use like meshy stuff so u can see out of it. that must be really heavy and hot though! ive always thought marcus had some adorable props

Just out of curiosity, how is it that bowie managed to get 2nd and 13th in visual???!!!! I'm not much of a band person and i might be missing something but that seems to be bugging me quite a bit... any thoughts?

Two different captions---they were 2nd in Visual Performance Individual and 13th in Visual Performance Ensemble.

 

The Individual judge is on the field judging the band's individual body carriage, posture, and body/leg technique. The press box Ensemble judge is judging the band's drill sets, color guard, and creativity.. Are their sets clean, are they arriving their sets in time? Stuff like that.

On field judges also listen to individual music, so if a judge is near you. Use the best technique and playing you can muster, which you should be doing anyways. :-)
