Uniforms

What do yall like in a uniform? what bands do you think have great or ugly uniforms?

I know we at McNeil have pretty ugly ones, but we get new ones next year!

i have no idea what McNeil's is gonna look like next year, but i hope its good. Stony point HS Drum Majors have a kool uniform

I really like dripping springs uniforms this year (i think they might be new but I'm not too sure). Really like the three triangles thing

 

Also like Bowie's uniforms a lot with the B shape.

 

Something that bothers me a little is the Round Rock drum major's capes...anyone seen these? These are like...super hero capes. I think they're a little over the top.

I am one of those bands who love their uniforms.

I like Phflugerville's new unis..and I love Bowies.

Martin's is kool too.

I have to agree, that RR's DM capes are a little over the top

i like reagan's (minus the collar)..... and westfield's old uniforms.....

 

i always like there to be white in the uniform..... im not sure why (and im sure its harder to keep clean) but it just makes it look..... cool..... and to POP lol

 

and i like the uniforms that are one color on one side, and another on the back. Like westfields (maroon & red'ish on the front) and black on the back, so they can do a nice visual where the band turns around & their a different color.....

I wish that Sherman would get new uniforms.. But we are getting a new band hall... A whole lot closer to the band pad..

I love RR's drum major uniforms. Capes are amazing and I hope Leander's have capes when we get new one's in a few years. I really like our uniforms, and I also like Reagan's.

I love and hate Tafts uniforms. On one hand, its exactly like the cavaliers, from the hat to the gauntlets, therefor they look awesome. Only difference is there color is bright red rather than green. On the other hand, its just like the cavs. A little originality would be nice.

ha, trust me, I am one of the biggest fans of capes. If I had the opportunity to wear one, i totally would. But when I see you drum majors running across the field i'm just like "yes!! batman!"

I must agree, that I LOVE our semi- new (second year in use) uniforms! But I also like bowies and Carmel's, with Carmels being by far my favorite!

Uniforms with the two different colored sleeves... Kinda like ours at Hendrickson... It provides more opportunities for visual stuff... but i think the two different colored pant legs is a bit over the top. Its kinda Trippy when you watch them march. You are automatically drawn to their legs because if ones black and ones white it looks like one leg is randomly hovering every other step. That and if you march bad or out of technique its REALLLLY obvious.

Haha.. I do like the different coloured sleeves on SOME uniforms.. Denisons are nice. I like theirs.. But would have to agree with the two coloured pant legs.. That is a lottle over the top. As for hats.. I like in a hat.. Shiny plumes, and a chain on the hat itself.

We've had these piece of crap uniforms for years and the district finally approved us getting new ones. This was our first season with them. They're pretty cool. It comes with a red jacket and silver baldric. It also comes with a vest that has a classical design on one side and a more modern design on the other. It's kind of like three uniforms in one and it actually works pretty well.

 

Anyway, I think one of my favorite uniforms is Broken Arrows'.

i really like mostly white uniforms. for sum reason they are very appealing to me.

Pasadena Memorial's uniforms are the best, period.....

I actually really loved Joshua's uniforms. Especially the effect with the orange gloves this past year (even though I know that that was not a standard part).

Those Pasadena Memorial ones are pretty sweet. I love that type of hat.
