SerialSleeper90 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) wow... I just get the feeling they have no idea what they're doing. Other than Nicholas Williams... they have a meteorologist and a dance director for judges. Edited November 14, 2007 by SerialSleeper90 Quote
Xenon Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 Oh, wow! The site actually works more than just the front page in IE! Quote
drippin_tuba2010 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Unless something extremely unthinkable has occured, the mavericks are still an NBA (as basketball, right?) team. The way they make it sound, it's like they want a performance of the field production. How, exactly is one of those going to fit inside a little basketball arena? Quote
Fata1 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I'm really going to be looking forward to seeing the winner of this contest. It almost seems like a joke. Quote

The inner city Dallas dancing show bands don't need the whole football field, so they would probably fit. Quote
drippin_tuba2010 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 aha. I knew I was missing something... Quote

SerialSleeper90 Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Haha I was gonna mention the DISD bands, but I didn't wanna... offend? My pick is between South Oak Cliff or Skyline. lol. Quote

Donezo Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Haha. My grandmother went to Sunset, so I'd be okay if they won. Gotta love DISD. Is Jefferson the only DISD school to make a first division at region marching contest this decade? Quote
Xenon Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 WT White made a one not long ago. Quote
itsstephenyo Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 If I hadn't moved to Carrollton before sixth grade, I definitely would've gone to WT White. I lived within walking distance of the elementary (Thomas C. Gooch), middle (Thomas C. Marsh), and high schools (WT White). If anyone's been down there, I lived right off 635 and Midway. Boy, am I glad I moved to Carrollton. Quote
sax5warrior Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I love TXA 21 but good god, they dont know the definition for a good band. All they are looking for is the band with the most entertainment and thats the DISD/FWISD schools except for just a handful Quote
SerialSleeper90 Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I don't even think "entertainment" is even the right word. Just something everybody and their sister can relate to. Seriously though, it would be really interesting to see how top BOA/State bands would do in this kind of thing. Quote
