itsstephenyo Posted November 18, 2007 Author Posted November 18, 2007 (edited) I got five predictions right. Bell, Richland, Lawrence Central, and Music and GE captions to Bell. 11/12 on Finalists. I don't think anybody in the nation saw Harrison making it to finals, though. They were well deserved of the spot, but if anyone actually made the prediction that they'd make it, kudos to you. itsstephenyo Posted November 18, 2007 Author Posted November 18, 2007 West Johnston up at 15th? Over Reagan and Clear Brook? The only thing I remember in that show is the marcher tanking it and almost causing a huge pile-up had the show not gone to a hold. Aw, Centerville 13th again... Quote
mbui Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Just got back from the RCA Dome.... What a weekend it has been for marching band. You missed something special if you didn't get to come. Congratulations to all of the Semifinalists, Class Champions, and Grand National Champion, L.D. Bell HS. I was on the field (literally two feet away from the pit) during their encore performance and seeing the emotion that the kids poured out is something I will never forget. What a great and classy organization. I have pictures of Prelims on my Facebook. I'll have Semis and Finals pics sometime on Sunday or Monday when I get back to Texas. I also took a pic with the Texas flag and the L.D. Bell drum majors which I'll also put up soon. Quote
takigan Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 It's not the cleanest show of all time, even the score breakdown can attest to that.....the win was heavily dependent on Bell's crazy GE score....which is understandable. I also am beginning to wonder if the score really has any relevance with a similar score given in a previous year. I think the scores are relative to the year in which they're given.....unlike DCI where the scores are based off of supposed "perfection". Plus, there's a lot more bands competing now than in years past so they have to widen the spread in order to have a broader spectrum of scores. That's what I think..... Quote
borchnork Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 So what was Bell's huge ending? can't wait for videos! Quote
