~150, Which is almost double what we did last year. Easily our hardest show ever. It was so physically demanding compared to previous years. Our director writes our drill, and he says its only going to get harder.

Creekview had, 72 I think? That's about half of what we had last year, but granted it was a different drill writer. It felt like nothing this year though...

how do u clean a 150 set show? we had exactly 100 sets this year and it was exhausting. i dont think we ever stop moving for more than 12 counts

Actually, I made a typo. I meant ~120. Our new directors have VERY high standards.

I don't see how a band can march over 100 sets. Heck, Marian Catholic back in the 80's and 90's when they consistently WON Grand Nats averaged around 100 sets, although that was usually for a 10-11 minute show. And now we have bands with 130+ sets in a less than 8 minute show. No wonder no TX band has won the visual caption at GN. Just too many sets.

Edit: Whoops. Typo.

I just checked mine and we had 95 sets in this year's show. I can see how people could have more, though. There were points in the show where no one on the field was moving for a while. I bet you could easily get into the 150s if you had little standstill in your show.

well, if they have as many kids as Allen does, they can fill holes pretty quickly.

Haha, I can see it now.

"I think he's dead." *points at timid little student* "You! Go drag his body to the sidelines and fill his hole. NOW!!"

Awesome and crazy. There'd be some dead kids by the end of the show.

Yeah, and it would be reminiscent of last year's show, too.

This plan is shaping perfectly :P

hahahaha. I think that's one of the first times I actually laughed Out loud when reading something online. My mom just gave me a weird look.

It'd be creepy though if LD Bell's whole trilogy had 666 sets. :o

It does... I promise. Or maybe not. Can you imagine average 222 sets in a show? Haha ridiculous.

well, 3 11 minute shows... I can actually see it happening. LIke Fata1 said, there would be quite a few dead kids by the end of the show.

But those kids who started the trilogy as freshmen are going to have a breeze doing anything they want now. I'm glad programs like L.D. Bell, Avon, Carmel and all the other BOA bands are improving so dramatically each year. It just adds to a better DCI program in the future.
