Any rising bands you see that may be able to take their throne!? And also on another topic. band politics. Do you think if you don't have "the name and reputation" you don't have as good of a chance as winning as say BELL even if your show is up to par with theirs. just wanting honest opinions thanks! I just wanted to start a new one, for the start of the new marching season. So I want to to know everyones opinions. Based on last year and the year before. Who has what it takes to make it to state. Will it still be the big name bands? What bands are rising and may become contenders this year? Any opinions are welcome! Quote

LD Bell Grand Nats Champ vs. Marcus who beat Bell at Super Regional, I think state will be between these two bands for first and secon 2.Cedar Park, after there non-finalist ranking from last time, it will be interesting to see what they do differently in order to make it back to the top 3. 4A bands in a new world, I cant wait to see the previous 4A state finalists compete in the 5A realm and seeing how they match up (Vista Ridge, Dickinson, and Connally) Quote

I mean they went from being an okay band to a true contender this past year. I've seen them at contests and there nothing short of amazing. Even though they are in area B ( along with my band) haha i'd like to see them do something. and i wouldnt put it past them. their new director todd dixon, is a genius. really hurt when he left my school for theirs! but we'll see!
