sax5warrior
Region 20 has a North and South zone.. The etudes on saxophone are becoming easier, but thats because im getting lessons from my ex director...for free Edited November 28, 2007 by sax5warrior
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue
arrrgggh!!! lol 3rd overall I played #37 for my last etude. then, messed up the last line of the cut, the easy part too. kinda takes a little pressure off. even though last night didn't count, the others will be have the knowledge that i'll be gunning for that first chair. also, for saturday, i won't be stretching stuff and taking liberties with the etudes like i did last night...heh. also: Pasadena Memorial also got 1,3,5 for trumpets and 1 for flutes. SerialSleeper90
I hate #37. I will be covering my ears for the entire auditioning of etude #37 so I can take it as slowww as I want. lol. On an opposite note, the other technical etude just seems to come so naturally to me. Do any of you other netters get that feeling for the other technical etude? Edited November 29, 2007 by SerialSleeper90

borchnork
omg, so Dr. Holt is the most amazing flute teacher EVER!!!! I had a 1 hr lesson with her today over region music, and now it sounds AMAZING... Granted I still miss quite a few notes in the Karg-Elert etude, the level of musicality she taught me to play with... WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! If I can nail the notes tomorrow, I know I'll be ok. Fata1
Ok now you are just confusing me. Seriously. Just ignore that last post. I came back and wow. How did I miss that? Clarinet. Wow. I think this may qualify as one of the stupidest moments I've ever had. Haha.
ClaireAnnette07
Aw, I miss region! I feel so lazy lol Andy, don't feel bad about getting 3rd. You know you'll do better on Saturday. b_sax_agent
does anyone know what TMEA is pklanning on playing for All State music? I know that one band is playing Kingfischer Catches Fire by John Mackey( Goodness, they must love him) but anyone know anymore?
takigan
The clinicians don't have to select the music until like, after Area competitions, so we probably won't know for awhile.

borchnork
I made 5th... missed Area by one chair. But considering I haven't auditioned for region in 2 years, I say that's pretty good, especially because last time around I made 18th. =]
titancoaster
Third chair in Phase 1 and phase 2 is TOMORROW!! and I'm really hoping I can get top 5 to make area, I think I can do it, but I just need to play musically
