That's a fun one. I played that for a church gig once; played the Trombone part. Most Bach (...I think it's Bach) brass quintets sound better with a Euphonium instead of a Trombone imo, it gives the ensemble a more somber, softer edge. There's one part where the Trombone gets to rock out with the French Horn that I could just play over and over again, especially when the Horn player you're playing with is a bad@ss, hehe (she's currently Assistant Principal Horn in the Texas State Wind Ensemble). ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 got a "I" on my Mozart solo, prepared the night before contest, so I only had 60% of it memorized, didn't try for state s&e, and after All-State, and with graduation the week of TSSEC, I don't really feel bad about not stressing about it. my clarinet quartet got together the day of contest, sight read it that day, and got a "I" (we hosted the whoel contest, so we played friday night) good luck to you guys at state, go get Outstanding Musician for me.
