bluebellbrass07 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 good point, plus some corps may leave eariler than others. I'm sure everyone will see plenty of other corps at local shows throughout the year anyways. Though I know off the top of my head the only time the Blue Stars meet up with Vanguard is at regionals. Which sucks because I really want to see the show Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Question for the gods of txbands.com If we bow toward our monitors twice a day until tour starts, will you set up a booth at any TX corps shows? Quote

It's my first year, and I was just placed in the last week or so, so I haven't been to any camps. I'm nervous and scared, of course, but i know it will be a good experience. Hey, I'm doing Pioneer cymbals. Last camp was my first. Quote

I haven't been to any camps, I just got music in from my percussion teacher, because he is writing the book. I move up to Wisconsin on the 30th. Glad there's another newbie too :] Quote

FrontierDirector Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 If anyone is still looking for a place, most corps now have a few holes... and if you want to have the drum corps experience without going on tour so you can do school, work, etc... then look at the DCA corps. I know at Frontier we are looking for 1 more bass drummer and tenor (some last minute conflicts have arrived), and we can still expand the guard by 4 more folks, as well as 1 mallet player in the front ensemble. Right now all the brass spots are filled, but there is a minicorps we have as well as other opportunities for those who want to play Quote
