marcomac29 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 the monster's from space... at the end when they're showing the last three seconds of the vacation footage, you see it fall from the sky into the ocean... oh. and everyone dies. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) That was such a crazy movie. It had such a sad ending But I really want to see it again. Exept the way the camera was kinda made me dizzy. But it was worth it. Edited January 21, 2008 by TRtrumpet Quote
capncrunk Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 i was gonna go see it tonight but a lot of people i know said it was stupid. haha Quote
dop3_mell0w Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 i loved the movie, but i think its a 'for-the-theater' only movie Quote
Xenon Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 I thought that it was really good, but I have to point out that it is really just a Big Monster rip-off of The Blair Witch Project. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 people who did not like the movie are very simple minded people who should go see a disney movie if they want a typical experience... i thought the way they put this movie together was brilliant... from the trailer to the end it was the best movie exprience ever...(not the best movie thought) Quote
ddmwingz Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 yea. i agree. it is definitely a movie worth seeing. the directing of the movie was superb. wasnt necessarily the best movie, but it was so different from ur normal movie and so well done that it is definitely worth seeing Quote
Salesmonkey Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 We ended up showing up to the theater 5 min after the previews started and ended up sitting in the second row. I really enjoyed the movie but if you think sitting up that close is bad for normal movies.... Quote
treblemaker Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Is it bad that I have no idea what movie y'all are talking about? Quote
TRtrumpet Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Lol, nah. But you should go see it for sure. Why is it called "Cloverfield" anyways? Quote
borchnork Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 does it have anything to do with the other video that the guy is taping over? I haven't seen it, but I've heard all about it. Quote
thesnareguy Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Great movie. I definitely need to watch it again. Beth was lmb. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 shhhh!!! lol... i still have no idea what that means but if it has anything to do with her hottness then i totally agree... btw the title of cloverfield's meaning is only known by the director... to tie it into the movie, cloverfield was the code name for the home video... Quote
TRtrumpet Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Ahh... I see. I think I'm seeing it again tomorrow night! Quote
Hawkeye Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 It was good to see a movie be different from others monster movies. Cloverfield was to be the codename for the movie, but they ended up sticking with it. The name comes from a boulevard in Santa Monica where the Bad Robot offices were. A Cloverfield sequel is being talked about, would you go see it if one came out? Quote
gavinrh Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 he doesn't die at the end! you can hear him moaning Quote

crazyjakeup Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 i would hate a sequel... it would ruin the mystiq to it... Quote
actualgirltrombone Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 its not the kind of movie where its possible to have a sequel. the entire point of the movie is that its one entire videotape, completely contained within itself, even the stuff (like the entire beginning sequence and the coney island bits) that wouldnt be there if it were a regular movie. if there was a sequel, it wouldn't really be the same, because it would obviously have to be from a completely different point of view or something, and therefore could be a completely different movie. also, i just have to say, the bit with the horse & carriage was my favorite part of the entire movie. Quote
borchnork Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 well it doesn't have to be a "sequel" per say... just a movie that accompanies it. I think it'd be interesting to see the same events from another person's view point. Quote

The name comes from a boulevard in Santa Monica where the Bad Robot offices were. Yeah and the trailer started with, "Multiple sightings of case designate "Cloverfield" Camera retrieved at incident site US 447 Area formerly referred to as "Central Park." But that was the only attempt to incorporate the codename into the movie's actual plot line. Quote
dmbalash Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 And I'd challenge this being the "best movie ever." I do believe that would go to Citizen Kane or Casablanca. Quote
