KatzsTheQuadPlayer Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 can't say i've ever fallen for another drumline chic... but i don't see there being anything wrong with it... if i were on snareline i wouldnt date a snare chic because if we broke up the line would be dirty the rest of the season... but either way i played quads this year and i don't see and chics on quads at westfield any time soon. DarkGuardNinja Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 great thing about being in guard, very few guys, and i don't think they are my type. i don't think i'd ever date someone in my section, and there has to be some sort of unwritten rule about this somewhere. maybe? Quote
KatzsTheQuadPlayer Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 so on a different note... what are the usual combinations in everyone's band, since in-section dating is seemingly frowned upon? Quote
Keyboard_Countessa Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Anything goes, really. I've seen trombone/pit, drumline/sax, trumpet/oboe, tuba/trumpet, french horn/flute... We also have a *gasp* battery relationship. With 2 bass drummers, no less! But things seem to be going well... to be honest I'm not really an authority on this sort of thing, since I'm a bit "out of the loop" when it comes to band gossip. Quote
viccro Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 IMHO, it seems like w/in your band would be ideal, as these are the people that you know best...I know that during marching season, I really don't associate with those other...non-band...people! And in the section...why not? Quote
Clarinot Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Well what happens if you have an in-section breakup, especially during marching season? that could be uncomfortable... Quote
viccro Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Well, any break up has the possibility of being uncomfortable-but being forced to see each other that much might force you to work more peacefully...in order to accomplish anything...theoretically of course, as high school is in no way logical... viccro Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 "unless you are destined to be together." That seems rather difficult to do before dating someone-easier said than done... Quote

TBchick07 Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Omg its not incest. high school is all of four years long. its not like it really matters. the only reason the people from actualgirltrombone school says its incest is because of two people that said it was incest because someone like someone in their section and they were in the same section and they were being jerks and now the rest of the section has picked up on it. And we all know that if they were in the flute section they would not say that its incest. Quote
TBchick07 Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 oh and i dissagree that and in section break up would be akward because if you date someone in your section you know them and unless your a big fat jerk its not that hard to break up with someone and it not be akward Quote

Babette Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I would be terribly freaky in someone in my section dated a fellow section person, because are ALL GIRLS! lol....the beauty of the flutes! Quote

TRtrumpet Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I saw 2 guys flutes at my band camp. One was 1st chair and the other was 2nd chair... lol. Quote
coolest_kid_ever Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 guy flutes are like freakishly good where i live. 'specially the asian ones. Quote
Ares9 Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Yeah i guess we're not the only band ****, but whats wrong with your girlfreind playing the same instrument? Quote
TRtrumpet Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Nothing. lol. I guess its the akwardness after breaking up that would be wierd. Quote
