Great week last week! Blue Devils remain undefeated and come out of Stanford as the DCI West Champions. The Cavaliers remain undefeated as well. There's a nice log jam for the last few Finals sports. All World Class Corps were in action last week .

Here's what to watch for this next week:

- The Blue Devils and The Cavaliers will meet for the first time this Saturday in Denver.

- Two DCI Premier Events this week (DCI Louisville on Monday, DCI Orlando on Saturday).

- Corps now have one week to prepare for the Massacre at The Alamodome (DCI Southwestern Championships).

haha, okay, I don't feel bad then if other people are confused.

Maybe he/she just got really sick?

Haha, okay folks. I just got home from a hard day at work and you guys cheered me up immediately! Here's the story:

Phantom Regiment 2008's production is titled Spartacus. During the show, there are three different "killings", in which a guard member has his/her throat slashed. The member is usually carried off of the field, except for the last girl, who remains motionless on the field for the remainder of the closer. The show contains an excessive amount of violence, waters that Drum Corps has rarely tread, aside from any tounge-in-cheek stuff that the Velvet Knights have produced over the years. No one is really dying out there, I can assure you of that. Just a joke! =)

No members of Phantom Regiment were harmed in the construction of this post.

Wow SCV 6th place?

They should move up as they clean their show. Keep in mind that they have had to deal with the Blue Devils and Phantom Regiment. Both of their shows are just sick.

That's exactly what I started thinking about after I typed that.

i would love to see Crown move up to 4th or even 3rd.

The potential is there. Their hornline is stronger than last year's and I think this is their most challenging visual program in the history of the Corps. The only thing that could hold them back from a top four finish is the cleanliness of the visual program.

wow... what were the standings last at? was SCV at second. if so thats awsome hopefully they can pull it back up

I also just wanna throw out a we told you so for the entirety of the SCV fan base.... and their new staff.

proof that- New Staff does not equal utter destruction as some predicted

As a disclaimer im not saying that anyone in this thread claimed that im just kinda pumped that the changes are holding together

In addition, SCV was scoring in the 81 range until they put their closer on the field. That's when they dipped back down into the 80s because it was so dirty. Then again, those are just rankings that don't mean much. We won't know a thing until everyone gets together at the DCI San Antonio Regional in a few weeks.

But, once they clean that show up and everything starts to click, Vanguard will be in good hands. They have a GREAT show this year.

They are average scores from contests from the past week...July 1-7. Just add up the scores from that week and average them out.

so its the change in their average?

It's explained at the bottom of the page. But yeah, that's the change in how many spots they moved from two weeks ago to this past week. Just get the difference between the June 24th-July 1st score and the July 1st-July 8th score and there you have it.
