It didn't seem excessive at all. Only two groups used his music. The entire Cadets show was music from Frank Ticheli, but only one other corps used Ticheli's music which was the Mandarins when they did 'Cajun Folk Songs.' Quote

b_sax_agent Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 even then, that was a lot of Frank Ticheli music. I remeber hearing a lot more. I can't remeber who played it though. But I heard An American Elegy, Nitro, Vesivius, and Amazing Grace. It's just kind of weird hearing Drum corps play what I played when I was in 8th grade. Quote

American Elegy, Nitro, and Vesuvius were all in The Cadets. Amazing Grace was Blue Knights, but it was based on the Kronos Quartet version, not Ticheli's. Quote

Or asking your friend where there going, and when they say "Cielo Vista", you hear "see you at Fiesta". Luckily Fiesta gives refunds. Cielo Vista and Fiesta are the two theaters in San Antonio showing the quarterfinals for those who may not understand. Edited August 8, 2008 by rpd Quote
treblemaker Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Our theatre was packed! And people treated it like a real contest and waited to get to their seat until the corps was finished. If anyone was at Tinseltown my group was the one that dropped the glass bottle during the Cavies performance. I would like to apologize for the disruption. It was actually one of our DMs that did it so blame him. :] I was just one of the one's laughing. Quote
