Danpod Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 http://www.weather.com/ I know we have a lot of members from South Texas and the staff would like to wish them the all the best as Hurricane Dolly makes landfall. Although I live in San Antonio, the clouds have started rolling in already and we're anticipating some good rain later today. This is nothing compared to what those in the Brownsville and South Padre area will be going through today. The entire Txbands.com hopes that everyone affected by this storm makes it out safe and sound. Quote
Trumpet Master Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Thanks Dan, its not to bad right now but it was just upgraded to a category 2 storm. Where I am, we are getting just wind and some rain right now, but it should be here within the hour. Quote
b_sax_agent Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 hmm... It's still sunny where I am... hopefully we will get some of the percipitation later today. Quote
whitewing09 Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Don't you live like 2345984098 miles away Quote
Danpod Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 The winds have picked up here some and I can hear the raindrops. This should make things real interesting on the drive home. Quote
b_sax_agent Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I knew that we weren't going to get any rain. But still. I can always hope for some. Quote
Danpod Posted July 24, 2008 Author Posted July 24, 2008 It started pouring buckets here about 30 minutes ago. The rain shouldn't be stopping anytime soon. Work should be a breeze today =) Quote
Trumpet Master Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Ok, the storm is gone, but I have never seen the line at Whataburger so freakin long. Dolly did damage quite a few trees and fences but nothing to serious. The high school that I'm a marching tech at canceled practice for the week so that is lame, but there were no casualties so that is always great. Quote
Michellen Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I live in the outskirts of San Antonio. The weather doesn't seem too bad today, but there was a tornado by my mom's job yesterday. Quote

She's 91 and when my mom called earlier today to make sure everything was okay, Grandma said she napped through the storm. Quote
