BlinK Day 41 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 so does anybody know of any sort of drum core-like thing that includes woodwinds? that'd be cool but i severely doubt it as i hear so much about DCI and nothing about the topic i'm inquiring of Quote
Skippy Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Nope. There isn't, although George Hopkins wants that to change. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I think it would be awesome for a drum-corps-like circut to inclue ww's. They add so much to the sound! Quote
BlinK Day 41 Posted August 28, 2005 Author Posted August 28, 2005 yea plus i'm not too keen on learning a brass or percussion instrument to be able to march still after i graduate Quote
LineOCar Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I have no regrets saying this.. EWWWWW NO WW IN DCI PLEASE!!! That's all, and George Hopkin is the director at the Cadets, he pushed for electronic on the field, and he also wants saxophones on the field also. Umm.. no thanks! If you really want to do corps, learn brass, perc or guard!! BTW. If you don't want to learn it, then it's your loss and get over it. mk, I'm done being rude. Thanks! Quote
TRtrumpet Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I never said I wanted WW In DCI, but maybe someone could invent some new circut that allows ww's kus they add alot to the sound in my opinion. I think it would be great. Quote

LineOCar Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 mnkyman: First off! I used to play woodwind. Pass tense. How many years ago was that? hmm.. 4? Yep! Three valve circus: my earlier post was not referred to you. I was simply stating my opinion about woodwinds in corps. Did I say anywhere in my post that I was referring to you? I was more referring to Blink Day 41 where he said he wasn't "too keen on learning a brass or percussion instrument to be able to march still after i graduate." that was who my comment was directed to. If you have any questions IM me. Quote

LineOCar Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I'm on the left hand corner of the front line.. That was the only time I've cried after a football game. It was horrible. I can laugh about it now though. I nailed that toss at SA. But in all seriousness, it did hurt, stupid thing left a bruise on my head. Quote
