urkadrums Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Wow, I didn't know Area D 3A were performing at my high school's new stadium in Georgetown. That's nice to know, because a few of my friends and I were wondering if we there would be any band competitions there. We're 5A though, so we will only use the stadium for practice, and football games. Our stadium is brand new, ready for it's first season, this fall. It's no where near as big as "The Palace" in Round Rock, But we do have a jumbotron, and a big press box, which will be good for competition. I think we have Astroturf also. Much better than our old old old stadium that was used for 50 years. Quote
MaverickBand15 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I love having the Palace in Round Rock for football games. It's our home stadium! Quote

I remember hearing the same thing last year. It was almost like it was a done deal that the Alamodome wouldn't ever be used again for State UIL Marching. I'm not really sure what happened; it was probably a misunderstanding or miscommunication. Quote
Danpod Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 UIL Area Contest Sites Area G still shows The Alamodome as the Area contest site. Quote

lhstrumpet Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Speaking of Spring, how is Dekaney High? Seeing the music history in their ISD, I'd assume that Dekaney is going to be next in a line of great bands. Quote
Trumpet Master Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Ahh, I better go hide in a shelter. I don't wanna get dominated after moving to the area Quote

So for this inventive word; "Maching"....was the word "marching" stuck under your fingers when you typed the word a second time, only that time leaving the letter 'R' out.....or did you mean to hit the 'E' key but your finger slipped and hit the 'G' key instead?
