Liquid Midget Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 just wondering who all is going to Centennial this year. a little curious about the competition. Quote
the terminator Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 us at Wakeland are coming back, and we think we can do a couple spots better than last year, and we were quite happy w/ 9th Quote
Liquid Midget Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 ya i was really excited when i saw that we were going back this year. Getting second was pretty cool. especially it being our first time to attend last year. Quote
Cgrad01 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I heard that Mesquite Poteet may possibly attend this one. Quote
the terminator Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 yeah that's what i heard from our director as well Quote
Liquid Midget Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 I was really hopping that Poteet was attending because i want to see how we can do against them out side of the uil judging format. Two years ago if im not mistaken they got second at Cenntenial and last year we got second. I think this year competition is going to be really interesting. Quote
drippin_tuba2010 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 i was gonna say... i thought last year was the first ever centennial contest. was a great contest lol. longer bus ride to frisco than to state from good ol drip Quote

This year is the 2nd year that Centennial is holding their own contest, and Poteet has never attended. I may go stop by if I have nothing to do... I'll probably be in F-town anyways at work, so who knows... The schedule gets released on October 1st! oh ya sorry i must have gotten that mixed up with duncanville Quote

the terminator Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 yeah this is about the only contest that i don't think we'll do that well in only b/c there are too many top bands Quote

ohs0olublie Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 This year's going to be pretty intense We've got alot of pretty good schools going (: Quote
borchnork Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Hmmm.... Plano East or Poteet....???? I think I'm gonna hafta say Poteet, but this one will be quite a battle. I'm definitely going to hafta go and watch this. Quote
ohs0olublie Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Really... cause I think Plano East is going to get first. I screwed up my predictions cause I put Poteet in 3rd, but I think they're coming in second Quote

"Pirates Unleashed" featuring the music of Frank Ticheli - Blue Shades - Sanctuary - Apollo Unleashed I also have commentary about it currently up on the TxBLive Blog at http://live.txbands.com Quote
borchnork Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 you know what's really funny about that closer too is that when we learned that song for our DC Contest, the saxophone player I sat next to and I agreed that "Apollo Unleashed" would just about be the worlds greatest closer ever... Quote
the terminator Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 i know it would be an awesome closer although it depends on what parts u play, anyways we are going to work out butts of to try to sneak in that top 5. we still have a score to settle w/ the colony after the little elm contest, and we really want to be competitive w/ poteet, sherman, and dripping springs as our mindset now is all geared toward state marching contest next year(even though not going to be here), and on a side note i don't know when's the next time we'll go to this contest b/c we'll be doing BOA Arlington and San Antonio next year Quote
Drippn_Bandnerd Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I am beyond excited to see poteets show....(if we are able to see it) We were able to see Plano east's show last yera, and that blew me away. Quote
borchnork Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 YAY! ONE WEEK LEFT!!!! This contest is going to be sooo cool. =] Quote
