Adelaide Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 A part of the flute solo "Density 22.5" is at the beginning of our show, plus there's a saxophone solo and a clarinet solo in the second movement and then a soprano voice solo in the third movement. We also have speaking parts in every movement. Quote
heavyduty16 Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 our pre show or movement 1 starts with a sax solo then duet and just builds up from there till all 26 of them are playing "pure imagination" =) then we have a baritone solo , tuba solo =) lol then a trombone ensemble to close the 2nd ... the 3rf there is 2 horn solos ...... 4th tuba feature (2 of them) then the 5th the whole band is playing "pure imagination" god i love our show Quote

But, I guess since most people consider what our band does slightly unique...it can be expected? We had a sextet with two mellos, a baritone, and three trumpets. We also had a trumpet trio, a quintet with two mellos and three baritones, the timpani and guitar solos, and a mellophone soli. We usually have a few woodwind solos. This year, I guess our director went brass crazy lol. Plus, can you say vocals? A whole lot of vocals this year. Edited October 28, 2008 by ndnorris7 Quote

eNVy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Our show started off with a bassoon solo (rite of spring) with background by mellophone. Then in our first movement had a sax quartet (2 Altos, Tenor, Bari) then a trumpet solo during the ballad(a half note). Quote
