How can you make the show better if the judges tell you to ignore the comments? I guess it was worth the money to get a contest performance in. Quote

(Combination of Youngblood's knee problems and not keeping Youngblood up to date with the latest MIDI file) totally did not see this message darn and i had them first overall and music caption Quote
titancoaster Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 ^^ no, what i meant to say (sry for not being more clear), our judges said to ignore the numerical score and our final placement, but the comments they left were good and accurate (and very helpful in our run for state last year) Quote
crazyjakeup Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 i'm gonna try to go in about an hour and a half, to catch highland park's show and the rest of the 5a bands... if you see me there dont get too close. i have strep, i'm keeping to myself(but feel free to holla from a far...lol)... GO Rowlett!!! Quote
Donezo Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 (edited) Here's what I know: 1. Rowlett 2. Poteet 3. Coppell 4. Allen And Forney took the Best in Class 4A award. 5A Area C could be REALLY interesting this year. Berkner, Coppell, Rowlett, and Sachse have already come on strong and then of course there is the behemoth that is Duncanville. If Lake Highlands is as good as they were last year, this could be a six horse race for three to four spots. Edited October 5, 2008 by Donezo Quote
crazyjakeup Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 i was very suprised to see rowlett win... i didnt like the show at all tonight... but they sounded very nice... i liked poteets show alot... (rowlett won best horn line, allen won best guard... thats all i know)... Quote
the terminator Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 that makes our job now so much harder, and I already expected Rowlett to win next week at Little Elm but now with beating Poteet and Coppell it's going to be difficult Quote

browser Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 wasnt Coppell in Arlington yesterday, how could they be two places at once? I am confused! Quote
the terminator Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 they did mesquite in the morning so they could also do BOA, they probably didn't win here b/c they were the first band to perform, although still props to Rowlett for winning Quote

Coppell opted to take the earliest spot at Mesquite so that they could do BOA Arlington the rest of the day. I suspect their entire reasoning for going to Mesquite is because that is where the Area C competition is held. Quote
browser Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Thank you for clearing that up! It was nice meeting you yesterday Daniel! Quote
Xenon Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I love meeting people in the stands! I love hearing parents above me call their kids saying, "guess who I'm sitting by!" Thanks to everybody that enjoys what we do here! Quote
