thePIXELelement Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I know this is a bit off topic, but is it me or is the city of Mansfield slowly taking over these forums... Quote

thePIXELelement Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I see more and more people from the Mansfield school district come and be active on these forums and the predictions. It's pretty spiffy... Quote
radchad Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 So I know what it says. As far as I know. This is from one of the techs at Legacy. It's two people having an argument. One person is saying why DCI is better while the other is saying why BOA is better. Quote

A lot of Legacy people. Quote
marcomac29 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 i think that it's actually rick rolling us... backwards. epic Quote

mnkyman663 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) Whoa, seriously? Or am I just gullible? I wanna see this show either way lol. What contests are they going to? Edited October 10, 2008 by mnkyman663 Quote
ryan_albert52 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 The Backwards dialogue was completely different from BOA Arlington last night at Birdville. I want to know what it says!! Quote
Xenon Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Yeah, all their voice-overs were different. Most of them had the same content, just not done by Dan Potter. I'm pretty sure the backwards section had completely different content, but I don't have a recording of it to analyze. <_> Quote
treyj Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 A friend i have from there said they changed it, because it had been figured out. Quote

I do know the dialogue was done by the announcer that at Birdville, John Pollard. I hope that's how it'll always be. (the dialouge being recorded by the announcer) Quote

legacybandnerd Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Dynasty said: This is the interpretation from my ears. If you hear something different, let me know. Starting from the end of the "backwardsness": Dan Potter: "Which one is better Scott McCormick? UIL or BOA? Lone Star States have a lot of bands. Legacy Legacy High School 2008." Woman: "So hot" (???) The legacy dialouge that you interpreted was said at BOA Arlington. If you want to have some real fun interpreting the dialogue then come to all of our performances because they're all going to be different! You did get correct the part about Scott McCormic (to tell you the truth that's all I know as well!), because he was one of the judges at that contest. At Birdville the dialogue was changed to direct towards a judge from that particular contest, and because Dan Potter could not announce the contest, it was recorded by the announcer, John Pallard. I am not for sure on what it said exactly so I can't tell you. At the next contest (UIL) we hope to have a different backwards dialogue too! Btw the woman said "Backwards". Quote
Xenon Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Scott McCormick is the President and CEO of Music For All, not a judge. Quote
takigan Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Just give your pit one of those digital voice recorders and have them hit record during the next show/competition and drop it in their pocket (you could probably do it with a cell phone's voice record function or a digital camera as well)....after the show, e-mail the sound file to one of the Txbands staff... Through the collaborative manpower of the Txbands community we shall crack this code! Quote

Xenon Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 treblemaker said: Aren't pre recorded voices not allowed at UIL? You are exactly right. I would like to point out the part of the UIL Constitution that Danpod quoted earlier in this thread: UIL Constitution said: A. All electronically produced music including narration and sound effects must beperformed live and in real time by eligible students. B. Pre-recorded music, instrumental or vocal, may not be used. C. The placement of electronic units must comply with the 5-minute set up and 2- minute tear down limitations. Legacy isn't doing BOA San Antonio, so I think that all that they have left is UIL contests. That means, sadly, that these backwards voices should be going away. Quote
