Trumpet Master Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Donna HS Festival quick results: Finals 1st place: Harlingen HS 2nd place: Brownsville Hanna 3rd place: Rio Hondo HS (3A) 4th place: Laredo United Pretty interesting tidbit. Rio Hondo tied for 2nd place with Hanna HS. This is pretty insane that the former Area G champ tied with a 3A band. Donna HS performed in exhibition and had a great performance. I'll try to get as much of the contest up on YouTube if I have a chance. Quote

Xenon Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I made a separate thread for Donna earlier: http://www.txbands.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3155 Quote

Laredo United From what I heard Roma lost their head band director and now they have a new director. From the looks of this competition they seem they are doing pretty good. They almost beat all the 5A bands there at the competition even though it is a non-state year for them since they are 4A. What do you all think Roma would do in 5A competitions? Do you they got enough skills to pull off the same success they have had in 4A into 5A? Quote
