Keep in mind that it's not good form to just come in to a forum and be all like, "Hey, guys, I'm from ____, what do you think of my band?".....even more so if you're from a school that is not well known, because then it just sounds like you're begging for attention....

There are more subtle ways of promoting your band than just saying "Hey, talk about us....please?".

I disagree.

I don't see anything wrong with someone asking the plethora of talented marching band members and alumni on this site their opinion on a band and/or their performance, but hey that's just me :D

Yeah, it doesn't necessarily have to be pointed out in a thread discussing a contest. You could have simply messaged the user if it bothered you.

What did you all think of Clements' arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue? It vaguely reminded me of Coppell's show in past seasons.

I'd like to know what more people think of Cypress Falls, Brazoswood, Spring, L.D. Bell and the Woodlands. I like those bands alot. But the moment I start asking people what they think of the SHSU Bearkat Marching Band or my alma mater; old Gee town high school, I want you all to flame me. It's just bad taste  .

Who cares, people are too pretentious on band forums...

There is nothing wrong with asking what people thought of your performance.
