AzNtRoMbOnEcHiCk Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 (edited) I wish all the luck to all the bands that will be here today. I will be working in the press box during the 5A bands. Come and say hi to me. I will be wearing my school's shirt and my spirit shoes which are gold and green. Once again, GOOD LUCK! Edited October 18, 2008 by AzNtRoMbOnEcHiCk Quote

Which is disappointing news for Hebron upperclassmen because our old director Mr. Daniels, is now the head at Lake Dallas... I think he just needs some time to get a better grip on the reigns. But WOW that makes area a little bit more intimidating. Especially for the underdogs. Quote

borchnork Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I was there literally all day and I thought the contest was quite fantastic. Personally, I was shocked that Lake Dallas got a two. I loved their show. The masonic robes thing creeped me out beyond reason, and I LOVE creepy shows!!! Marcus' show was totally a Marcus show. Cute, funny, entertaining and just about Perfect. I wish there wasn't a stupid time limit difference between BOA and UIL cus I wanna see the full show!!!! I loved Frisco High's choice of music for the show this year. And Liberty's show was awesome. I honestly have to say I think they made the most perfect circles that I've ever seen in my entire life. And their little African tribal dance was great!! I thought their show was brilliant. Centennial also looked fantastic like always. Sad to see them take such a different and fun approach to their marching shows the year after I leave. =[ That's the kind of show I always wanted to march in. The guard at Centennial had a pretty much flawless performance (The guard director, Brian Greenleaf, actually said it was the best performance a CHS guard has ever done in the school's history). I thought Little Elm's show was brilliant. The Wizard of Oz was just totally too wicked awesome. Hebron's show was great. Kinda creepy with the moving eyes. Like, I was getting a little paranoid. hahaha, but I thought that everything they did in their show was very very addicting to watch. Quote
Mistrix Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Good lord, Area is going to be ruthless this year. Quote

andissimo Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Hmmm well I like all of Marcus's shows the first time I see them... But they seem to get stale pretty fast in my opinion. I guess it doesn't matter to a judge though, since they only see it like one, two, maybe three times live during the season. I usually see them at least 5 or 6 times. And they just don't ever progress. They stay the same from the first performance to the last. (Except the Water show, when they added those fish flags to the closer right before BOA SA) Quote
the terminator Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 yeah for me that's the only time i see them so i was happy, but yeah i can understand seeing a band so often is kinda dull Quote

Bahaha that's unfortunate that you've seen us 6 times. We rarely get to see other bands because we usually get the lastest performance times. Quote
