2008 Lone Star Drumline Contest

So...who all's going? And in what division? And at what time?

 

Paschal Drumline is going on in (I believe) Division 1 Standstill at 5:00 PM.

Vista Ridge high school is going 2nd to last in division 2, I'm not sure when. Good luck!

I have a feeling ours is going. I know they're doing a competition and I'm almost positive it's this one. I don't have any details, though.

Yeah, Southwest is going (ran into Hicks at the TCU percussion ensemble concert two weeks ago and chatted with him about it). Good luck to all!

Colleyville will be at Grand Nationals this weekend so we cannot attend Lonestar. I'm dissappointed considering it's a drumline tradition and it's my senior year, but I wish all the other drumlines performing the best of luck!!!

Georgetown is not going anymore, due to our football team's playoff game at Kyle Field this Saturday.

 

My senior year as well, but yes, good luck to all the drumlines that will be there.

you know i dont really ever feel the need to cheer when our band/line wins anything, mostly because our directors are adamant in us being classy, but when they called richland for best tenors, i had to cheer lol

 

btw the round rock cymbals chicks were the most hardcore thing i've ever seen in my life lol

yeah it was very similar, i had to go look it up and see last years, but it felt like this years cymbal break was even longer but that could just be cause id never seen anything like it before haha

EDIT: I'm guessing Burleson had some crazy Bass feature in their book that must have been clean has heck, since they won the Bass caption and aren't even in the top 10.

thats the exact thing we were thinking too...they won the bass caption and we won the front ensemble caption so we were all like well we either got 2nd or some where in the 11th through 16th placement... it turned ou that we got 2nd!!!
