How often is the Voxman studies used for Saxophone etudes? I only did state music on sax for one year with ferling etudes.

Despite not being in High School anymore I think I will play them a few times anyways.

Well the thing is, they have used the Ferling book forever. Then again, most of the etude in the Voxman book are basically the same as that in Ferling. Still kinda curious as to why they decided to change.

The etudes are seemingly easy this year.. The first one is mainly about speed, with consistent accuracy.. It's simple when you get it under your fingers.. Very easy to memorize.. The second etude is still a little challenging to me.. With all of the tricky rhythm patterns.. That etude is mainly about accuracy of notes and patterns.. The third etude is about how well you can read tough key signatures.. I am finding it easy to get it under my fingers, and under control..

Just start slow, and you'll realize you can learn more with patience and a slow, gradual practice, rather than trying to get through them all as fast as you can.. I'm finding that that is the best way for me..
