treblemaker Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Fun fact: Paula Crider will be guest conducting The University of Texas at Austin Symphony Band on November 22 at 4:00p.m in Bates Recital Hall. She will be conducting Kentucky Harmony, a piece that was commissioned in honor of her, so if you are going to be in the area you should come to the concert for this unique opportunity. I thought I would share that with you guys. Quote
Xenon Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 For those that don't know, Paula Crider is the legendary director from Crockett. Quote

smoke_dawg_08 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 i have long yearned for the truth behind all this nonsense....now all i can think is that it's all fake and overhype. i'm done searching for the answers. goodnight sweet prince. Quote
HHSEuph Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 (edited) I have honestly never even heard of Crocket 93'. My sister even went to Crocket some time ago. I believe I ruptured my kidneys, and who knows what else, laughing. Thanks for making my morning amazing; it's going to be a long day Edited October 20, 2009 by HHSEuph Quote
jdnmusic Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 this must be a hoax... paula crider was not the band director at crockett in 1993. she was employed at ut austin from 1982 until 1999, as validated by multiple biographies and ms crider herself, via email. there are too many contradictions in various information provided by many sources and its clearly a source of mockery to those who claim to know the 'tragedy' of crockett 93. whitewing09 Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 She was like the first 5A women director in Austin or something right? Quote
LeanderMomma Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Here’s where they started making a comeback. Edit...wait...this was 1988. Before the big fall I should have said. They were great though. Maybe there’s a comeback coming yet. Quote
