bears09 Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 (edited) Cool. Good Luck Heath. I think Rowlett has the target of band to beat this competition. But we will see if there are any surprises. Has anyone seen Sachse? There always seems to be friendly, or not, competition between them and Rowlett... Edited October 9, 2009 by bears09 Quote

whitewing09 Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Any reason as to why Whitesboro is in the AA block or why Princeton is in the AAAA block? Quote
the terminator Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 contest is based on size of ur band (winds only) i think. i know b/c i was at this contest the past two years Quote

Euph06 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Thats weird that Sachse got 3rd to Argyle when Sachse got third at Birdville and Argyle didn't make finals at that same competition, I guess it's different judging or lots of improvement from Argyle in one week Quote

I understand she rated them 9th in music in finals. In prelims she had them real low in marching. This happened with the same judge 2 years ago at Duncanville. She gave them marks that were significantly lower than the other judges. Just a difference in taste. Happens all the time...just look at Duncanvilles scores in last years state finals. Sure doesn't change the fact that Rowlett's show was amazing and they deserved the win. Too bad this wasn't their show last year during a state year. Argyle also was really good....and they did improve from Birdville. Great sound and marching. All the bands did well. Quote

Thanks for the info I was wondering about it. Argyle is always great and I wasn't trying to take anything away from them I was just wondering what the difference was Thanks Quote
