Also in finals, they change judges around so the rankings can totally flip flop. Also this is just my honest opinion based on how scoring for area goes ok i was a little worried b/c there are still quite a few good bands left. And also thanks for taking time on your saturday to do this webcast Quote

borchnork Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 The top ten (no particular order): (oh and this is the official ten) Legacy Newman Smith Aledo Sherman Timberview Southwest Centennial Wakeland Birdville The Colony As far as I know, Wakeland is 2nd and Centennial is hanging out around 9th. I personally loved The Colony and Timberview the most, and I particularly have an obsession with Sherman's closer. Quote
the terminator Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 from what i've heard newman smith is 1st wakeland 2nd aledo 3rd and the colony 4th, i don't have anything after that though Quote
borchnork Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 it's actually: Newman Smith Wakeland The Colony Aledo Legacy Southwest Sherman Birdville Centennial Timberview If there's a huge swap it'll be with The Colony, Aledo, Legacy and Sherman. I really couldn't judge between those four bands when I was there. Quote

borchnork Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 (edited) I hafta point out that NONE of the bands going to state this year from this area have been to 4a state before and also that NONE of the bands from last 4a year made it this year (sherman, centennial, the colony, aledo) Edited October 25, 2009 by borchnork Quote

Amusicman Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Newman smith actually advanced to the state marching contest in 2000 when they were a 5a. Quote
JagDad09 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 What a heck of a contest. I really liked Sherman's show. All Southwest did was play their horns great and march great. I know Newman Smith was first and Legacy was second. I don't know any of the other order of finsih. Someone will post it I'm sure. Quote
