takigan Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Thanks. Haha, some of these rules for semis (the semis draw performance order also comes to mind) gives me a headache. Quote
whitewing09 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 So question... When do yall think bands had their best performance? I read something about Bell and Semi's, but what about everyone else? Quote
anonymous11 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 if i am correct TW placed 3rd in music in finals.. beating bell? Quote

I was personally suprised by the rankings, but the show was amazing. Quote
whitewing09 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 ^Thanks How about Bowie? Prelims? or Marcus? was Bell's Prelims or Finals better? Quote
IMcom-Josh Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 IMO, I think Bowie and Bell had their best runs in Finals. Marcus I think had their best run probably in Prelims followed by Finals. And I agree that I think Woodlands Prelims run was the best one they had as well. Quote
BassoonPadwan Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) Where are the finals performances on the Fan Network? Edited November 26, 2009 by BassoonPadwan Quote

The Finals performances are supposed to be only for people that purchased the DVD's until 30 days after the DVD's ship. Quote
whitewing09 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 So does anyone know if they'll be selling the audio performances to GNAT Finals Quote
Ziorith Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Congratulations to all the bands that preformed! I would like to mention while this is very far off that Cedar Park High School is attending Grand Nationals in 2010. This will be exiting for them as they debut at a National level. They however will not be competing at UIL State next year because they are dropping down to 4A. I hope everyone has a fantastic concert season! Quote

It's kinda sad to see the one of the best 5A's dropping down to 4A...but that's pretty sweet that they will be attending Grand Nationals!! Quote
rpd Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 (edited) Does this mean Cedar Park will be considered 2A in BOA? I would love to see someone give Marion Catholic some competition. Its great to see Cedar Park going to Grand Nationals. For many years I've considered Cedar Park Texas' best kept secret from the marching community outside Texas. Edited December 1, 2009 by rpd Quote
whitewing09 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Not necessarily back when Connally was a 4A they still competed in 3A BOA Quote

This really has me looking forward to next year. And I seriously doubt CP would be considered 2A. A majority of UIL 4A bands were considered 3A this year. Quote
dmbalash Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 They'd need to have less than 1,220 students in grades 10-12 to be AA. That being said, AAA could seriously be stacked next year. Center Grove (IN) Kennesaw Mountain (GA) Tarpon Springs (FL) Lafayette (LA) Lafayette (KY) Cedar Park Just to name a few. Quote
CPFrntEns Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 We're pretty close to being a 5A UIL band, so I can basically guarantee you we'll be 3A BOA. Grand Nats is gonna be awesome next year! Quote

whitewing09 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Is it just me or did Marcus have a lower score end of season than usual? Quote
evang1993 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 next year, Brazoswood might be competing in grand nationals. i'm in that band and i'm hearing rumors often about it. idk how we'll do well at all... i mean, we have gone down hill since we changed our music arranger. I dont really like montoya's music. Quote

Brazoswood's musical selections and music arranger are not the reasons for the decline. Quote

I dont really like montoya's music. It's not Brazoswood that is going down hill, it's bands in Texas that are stepping up their game. And, Brazoswood is included in that group as well. Trust me, I'm from Brazoria County and I've been following Brazoswood since I've lived here. Daniel Montoya and Kevin Nix are one of the best things that has ever happened to their marching band program. Their designs are what put Brazoswood on the map. Quote
whitewing09 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 How come there is a decline in bands? It did seem as if there was this year Quote
the terminator Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Wakeland is expected to go next year, not sure how they'll do but they most likely will go to nationals next year Quote
