Guticb Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 The M13 Lyre is my top pick. I've tried the M30 as well, and wasn't a big fan. Quote
KOBandGeek Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 M13. My lesson teacher told me it was the best step up. But if you have a lesson teacher, you should ask. Cause my lesson teacher kinda wants me to get a better one, depending on whether or not I decide to keep playing in college. Quote
TxRaider13 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 You should just play a brass instrument Quote
Cfam Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 what mouthpiece do you recommend for marching outdoors? at the moment, i'm using the mouthpiece that came with my R13, but i'd like to improve the sound without paying for a super expensive mouthpiece i just don't want to take my 5RV Lyre outside... Guest Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I use m15. If you have trouble biting, this mouthpiece will let you "know" if you are Kudos to the clarinet familiy. The silent black ninjas are the best kept secret of marching band Quote
meyousic Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Try a Clark Fobes San Francisco Model. These are custom made mouthpieces that produce great tone and articulation for Soprano clarinets, Bass, or Contras. His Europa and Chicago Models are great as well. Try a fobes mouthpiece with a Robert Scott barrel and it makes a great combination. Vandoren M13-Lyre-Profile 88's are good for Middle School & High School marching band. (The Selmer C85 is a great mouthpiece if you find the right combination with reeds). Just some words from the wise. ;-) Quote
