Euphonipwn Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Is it bad that I miss the smell of diesel bus fumes already??? haha I can't wait for this year. It will be intense all across the board! Quote

I think this will probably put an hour plus drive for MOST everyone. It all depends where they coming from. I personally seen West Valley HS stadium and i totally agree that the best fit school to host a BOA Regional. The football field is located in the middle of campus and has alot of space to provide for buses and etc. I personally know the band director there and i believe he also did a great job selecting his school to host it too. socaldrills Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Hey! EODrillDesigner98! Who do ewe think is gong to win Regionals? Maybe I will see ewe their! Quote
CFadrian10 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 just out of curiosity, does anyone know what made BOA move the Houston Regional to The Woodlands? Quote
Indianamarchingfan Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Wow, was hoping to see Marcus HS back at Grand Nationals this year. I was really impressed by them last year at the finals. Quote
RWood Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 The CPHS show looks to be fun...and loud as always. I think you guys will love it when you see it. As far as Houston goes Woodforest Bank stadium has much better parking than "The Rig"...at least that's the impression I got going to both BOA in Pearland and USSBA in The Woodlands last year. There's also more stuff around Woodforest Bank including places to eat which isn't the case in Pearland. There's also direct interstate highway access to Woodforest. All of those might be a reason for the move. Quote

Why does The Woodlands dropping out of Arlington not surprise me...do they do that every year or just these past two? And I think Wakeland was signed up before they edited it...I had them in my predictions Thanks for the update dmbalash! Quote

Now that's an interesting concept. The CA Regional is closer and more appealing travel-wise, but Utah is a bit less competitive, and thus gives them a better shot at making finals...that might be why they chose Utah. Still, making finals at Utah is going to take a bit of a push. Quote
bandnerdforever1989 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I like the idea of Texas bands going abroad and challenging other bands other than Grand Nationals, its good for us. Quote
Thomas Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Friendswood High School has a great BOA show this year. I went to Dripping Springs and now help at Friendswood. Honestly, Friendswood should have taken the gold medal last year over Dripping Springs. This year, Friendswood should place in the top five at BOA Houston and San Antonio. Quote

RWood Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 You can follow the Cedar Park Band's season here. http://www.youtube.com/user/TimberwolfBandTV First video of the first two parts of the new show Genius should be up late Friday night/early Saturday morning. The first two parts by the way aren't the loudest or the fastest. They will ROCK Indy and the rest of the BOA shows if it sounds like I think it's going to sound. Quote

If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about getting copyright clearance for online videos from Eric Whitacre? Thanks in advance! Quote
dmbalash Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Add Crockett (Austin) to the San Antonio Super Regional lineup. Quote
