bariguy07 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) So the 2010 season is welllll underway. In the San Antonio/Central Texas region, we have already seen BIIIIIG changes! First off, and most importantly ;-), New Braunfels High School!!! One of the old giants of TX marching band, now under the direction of controversial director Dana Pradervand, is doing probably their most musically/conceptually sound shows since "Beyond Perimeters" in 2006! "What Goes Around (Comes Around)" featuring the music of Bach's Dona Nobis Pacem from the b minor Mass, his Prelude and Fugue in D from the Well-tempered Klavier, Pachelbel's canon in D, and Haydn This will be the 3rd time for this group of seniors to have a shot at the All-State Marching Competition. It definitely looks like they are hungry for it. Drill is written by their assistant director Ed Gonzales (always great work, if you can reference the NBHS 2003/2005 All-State performances) Arrangement details still to come So what all y'all got? I don't know why this director is "controversial".....I just hope he leaves the "controversy" somewhere along I-10, before he gets to Houston....... Quote
