horn_r1 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Based on past years' results, I feel like you can do that without the Area G results. Quote

horn_r1 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 An Area G band hasn't made state finals in at least the past 20 or 30 years I believe, for sure the past 10. But true, who knows? Quote

TxRaider13 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 In Class 3A in order for top 3: Canton-1 Argyle-2 Wills Point-3 And now for class 5A top 10 in order: 1-Marcus 2-Duncanville 3-LD Bell 4-Reagan 5-Berkner 6-Bowie 7-The Woodlands 8-Coppell 9-Langham Creek 10-Harlingen (It's time) 3 on the Bubble Hebron Spring Keller Okay that was harder than I had thought Quote

king_leonides Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I could 37 bands in 5A. Is that a record? I see there were only 31 two years ago. Quote
GBMELLO Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Does anybody have the full schedule for State? Quote
rcb05 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Schedule isn't on the website yet. TSMC Website Quote
bchorn Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 how many of you are planning on attending 5a prelims? I'm considering taking the day off to drive down from Austin to watch it myself. Quote
rcb05 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I'd think about it if it was Monday, but coming from Dallas, getting down and back for a Tuesday event is pretty much impossible. Quote
bchorn Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Also, i'm curious if someone could rank the 5A areas. From what I've read on here, it seems like B is on the top and G is on the bottom. not sure about in between. Quote

Just from the bands going to state I would say B C D F E A G If you actually look at all of the bands within the areas I would say D B C F E A G I'd put D as 3rd for state participants because area B and C have heavy hitters Marcus and Bell in B and Duncanville and Coppell in C. I'd put D in 1st for overall quality because I'm willing to bet that the 6 bands that advanced will fair very well and their finals pool was extremely strong, probably the strongest finals. Quote
