When I watched the DVD, i looked at the timer of the disc to keep track of time. Like if the Woodlands performance started at 25:37 on the disc, i fast-forwarded to 33:37 to see if they were still performing or not. They both went over.

The Woodlands didn't actually go over 8 minutes, the clock just started about 30 seconds too early so they went over. I believe that was the case with Johnson too.

2003: Westfield HS

2004: Stephen F. Austin HS

2005: Ronald Reagan HS

2006: L.D. Bell HS

2007: L.D. Bell HS

2009: Marcus HS

 

And, let's not forget that in the 1990's when Westfield won in 1990, Duncanville in 1991, Spring in 1993 and Westfield in 1995. And, this was when hardly any Texas bands went to Nationals.

 

Texas bands play better. Midwest bands march better.
