morebueno Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Bell has made top 2 for 10 years (6 times) not 12. 2002 was an all DFW too, and 2000 and 2004 were off by 1 each. There are 4 other bands who have won at least 3 titles in a row (according to the UIL website). UIL keeps going back and forth as to whether they call the school by the city it is in, or the ISD it is in. Personally, I like using the ISD much better. If you used the city, you would get Arlington Summit from Mansfield ISD and Mansfield Seguin from Arlington ISD..... Quote

Then there are obviously the Simple Gifts and TAPS solos. Quote
aaron067 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I thought I read somewhere that the music they performed right after America the Beautiful was an excerpt from Black Hawk Down, which would support the whole helicopter theme in that section. I'm not certain, though. Quote
