Drummantx Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Come on, he's asking a question, let's give him a answer and not be mean. Escape-Asphault Cocktail? Prayer of Light-Lux would go well as stated above. Let Go-Not to sure here, would take some thinking. Flight-Might be a little obvious, but Firebird suite. Can't go wrong with that. Transformations-Some Samuel Barber would go well with this. Not sure of anything specific, just know that his style kind of fits there. (At least in my mind). I probably didn't give the best answers, since I usually build a theme out of a piece of music I already have in mind. Are you planning on using these with anything or just doing this for fun? Quote
RedJoker25 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Prayer of Light- Heaven's Light by Steven Reineke. It's a fairly easy concert band piece, but it could be beautiful and interesting with the right band. I've heard it take anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes for the whole piece, so it's workable to the situation. Flight - Voliere by Camille Saint-Saens. More of a preshow suggestion unless it's used for the rest of the band to take a break while guard does something. Wing Fortress/Sky Chase Zones' themes from Sonic 2. Video game music has been arranged for marching band before, so maybe? Let Go - Maybe an assortment of fight songs? Stuff people get sick of playing so they "let go" of any control/care they have. Probably not what you were going for, but I can't really think of anything else. Quote
Cole Train Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Escape- The music is by Sergei Rachmaninoff Quote
