bored2damax Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 This year our BD has decided to have a brass class ,a woodwind class, a drumline class, a pit class, and a fundemental class (people who didnt make or didnt want to march because they are not ready yet) Just wanted to know if anybody is also doing this. This is only for marching season though. I thought that this was a good idea because the directors can focus more on each section. What do yall think about having a class like this? Quote
TRtrumpet Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I think its a great idea. It would be a good idea for our school too... Quote
Keyboard_Countessa Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 For two years we had 3 concert band classes, a colorguard class and a percussion class during marching season. One year instead of 3 concert bands we had a brass class, a woodwind class and regular Symphonic Band. This year they split up the percussion class so battery has it one period and pit another. Quote
LeanderBass5 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 we have a wind ensemble class, symphonic winds class, symphonic band class, Snares and Tenors class, Basses class, and pit class. Quote
Xukaniz Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 We have the whole band together 1st period, and the drumline/pit meets 7th period. Quote

manuel_pablo Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Methods Band is not a class for people that didn't get spots lol Quote
xMonicax Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 That sounds like its a good idea... our classes are the same as they are for concert season (four different bands, each with their own class), with the exception of the pit and drumline having their own classes Quote
I<3thebox Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 we have an A B schedule so we have Snares, Tenors, Wind Ensemble 1st/5th Basses, Symphonic 2nd/6th Concert Band 3rd/7th Pit and Cadet 4th 8th the drumline was split up to provide more attention, and to minimize schedule conflicts cuz its closer to the band they would make Quote
