Thomas Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 This year's contest is October 1. Anyone know if their school is going? Also, is this the earliest marching contest in the state? Quote

mellopwn1 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 According to their website, TWCP will not be attending finals because the students opted to go to their homecoming dance instead. So, that is is something to take into account when looking at Finalists. Top 5: Dripping Springs Brazoswood Clements Cy-Falls Quote

DorianDude Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I see on the predictions and here that we have Dripping Springs comming in and pretty much sweeping house like they did last year. I really don't think that will be the case. I think that the incredible jump of quality in terms of bands. (Area E's stronger attendence, for example) will make this a far more competitive year. Im not saying that DP won't win, but they (and pretty much everyone who wants to be in top 5 or so) isn't going to cruise right in. Good luck to all! 1st: Dripping Springs 2nd Dawson or Cy Falls 4th: Clements 5th: Seven Lakes or The Woodlands College Park or Clear Brook Quote
Thomas Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Good luck to all the bands involved! The weather looks great in the Houston area this weekend: High: 85 Low: 61 and sunny. Quote

FoobYen Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 2011 Friendswood results for Dripping Springs -- 2nd overall in finals with best colorguard and visual and 1st in 4A in prelims with best visual and music Quote
DorianDude Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Whatever band played after 7 Lakes (we were in the parking lot and could still hear the performance) had an absolutely amazing hornline. That Crazy Train arrangement is some of the best high school playing I've ever heard. Quote
Thomas Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Anyone who has not seen results yet can go over to the "Friendswood Marching Contest Results" page. Quote
