I always take these early contests with a grain of salt, especially when the judging systems are so different from the one UIL has adopted. We'll see how the season progresses. Quote
longhornsax Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Definitely interesting. I also don't think early USSBA contests prove to be much of a end of the season measuring stick, but the fact that Lake Travis not only edged Dripping Springs, but took the overall title, is quite an intriguing result. Lake Travis seems to be for real, and the video proves that. Quote
apachedan Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I've gotta say this is probably the best I've ever seen the Lake Travis band. They are seriously clean for this early in the season. I predict they'll be a force to reckon with in area D. Quote
Bandlover Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I think Lake Travis has what it takes to advance this year, however, I also know that many other bands are close to finishing their shows and it will be wide open. Im sure that Dripping Springs will blow our minds when they get the bugs worked out of their show and clean it up.. cant wait! Quote
Kemosaki Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I think Lake Travis deffinitly has a shot this year. This is the hardest our directors have worked us and it's really paying off. We've got alot of amazing bands to beat, but it's always fun to be the dark horse! Hopefully this'll be Lake Travis's first year to make state! Quote
