Pvillepitcrew Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Its possible Bowie doesnt want this stuff out until after the competition season is over. I dont know. All of these schools that compete put soooo much effort and time into these shows. It really amazes me. Sitting on the sidelines and in the stands at these competitions trying to add up ALL the hours that these programs put in makes your head spin. Not to be able to showcase the performances almost defeats the purpose. This is what these bands do. Perform for us and the public. Its nice to give credit where credit is due and getting some views on You Tube or Vimeo to share is a great way to do that and let other people who may not know what this is all about see it. I wish I could get 20 or 30 "new" people to go to BOA everytime. They would be amazed at whats going on. This should be broadcast on ESPN!!!! Heck, maybe we can all write to Craig Way at Fox Sports SW or KVET and get them to cover this .....Wouldnt that be cool. At any rate, here is a video I shot last Friday night and the Pflugerville vs Leander game. Pflugerville Panther band performing Behind the Veil. The kids LOVE to perform. This is what they put in all those hours for......Lets show them we LOVE what they are doing. Hope you like it. Not a pro or anything like that. Just sharing marching music.... Quote
borchnork Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Frisco Centennial at UIL this past Saturday! Doesn't start until about 4:40 mark though. Added some visuals, changed a few parts of the music and cleaned like CRAZY! Also, you can see me in the first few minutes! I'm standing right on the 40 in the center of the first giant heart. =] Quote
JCSax Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Centennial!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtPKXVrHHGU We placed 18th at BOA, and 2nd at TOC. We got a one at UIL and are performing at 1:30 for Area... Come check out our show- Queen of Hearts!! =D Quote
Yahootieitsme Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Oh, man. There is already two other links to Centennial videos here. But I'm going to add this one: because this earned second place at TOC and I'm really feelin' it. I don't have a video, but I really loved Newman Smith's show. I absolutely love "Variations on a Korean Folk Song" and the adaptation of that music into a marching show is beautiful. Quote
NSboner-Jay Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Hi! Here's North Shore's 2011 show "Where The Sidewalk Ends." This was our last performance of the show this season.
