There's a chance they could walk out of their as champions when the night is over. Quote

That Sax guy Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 lol my apologies i just took a quick glance and put in the names of shows ive seen but i personally think that this contest will have some interesting performances Quote
vacon3` Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I think it will be between Brazoswood, CTJ, and Westfield, with Brazoswood likely on top. I saw them at BOA Conroe where they placed 8th, and they look and sound great!! Quote

vacon3` Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Am I the only one baffled by the results?? CTJ deserved first hands down, but I was confused be the rest!!! Quote
dtxtrmpt Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Long day! I was most pleasantly surprised by Dawson High School. They were my favorite of the day, closely followed by Claudia Taylor Johnson. There were a lot of really good bands there today! Quote
DHStrombone Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 http://www.twhsband.org/lsp/index.shtml just thought id say, look at the results in prelims and then finals very interesting......dawson and CTJ flip flopped places. very interesting day Quote
lowreed26 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I hate how they judge with a BOA format...... Quote
mellopwn1 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Really, the only two big changes between prelims and finals are College Park (3rd to 8th) and Cy-Fair from 6th ti 3rd, although TWCP seemed to have somewhat of a lackluster run in finals and Cyfair completely rocked the house! I was surprised how close Dawson is to CTJ score-wise! They have gotten so much better in the past few years! Quote
clarinetbabe9696 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Wow, did College Park do THAT bad in finals? That's a huge jump from prelims. Also, did Westfield and B'Wood not have a good show? They were 1st and 2nd last year at this competition... congrats to CTJ though! Quote
