Thomas Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) Friendswood received all 1s today and made it to Saturday's contest. Who else is going? Also, did any other bands (in the area or state) struggle with the 40mph sustained winds? Edited October 19, 2011 by Thomas Quote

Our kids will Wednesday afternoon, but when the 4A bands come on the wind should die down from like 20mph to around 10mph, and at Mesquite Memorial Stadium it depends on the wind direction, because it may be blowing 10mph but on the field it could be much harder... At least it wont be wet out.. How is Friendswood this season, haven't had much talk on here about them? I know from past years, their winds can play anything you throw down on the page and make it sound like they were sitting down in a concert hall. Edited October 19, 2011 by TxRaider13 Quote

Yeah, the wind was moving from east to west across the field which made it very difficult - we could not use our props because of the high winds. Thank you for your kind words - we are working hard to live up to those expectations: sounding like a concert band while marching difficult drill. Quote
