euro_euph06 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 w00t-w00t!!!! First person to predict for Arlington!!! They are: 1 L.D. Danpod Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Doh! Second one up =) 1) Winston Churchill H.S. 2) L.D. Bell H.S. 3) Ronald Reagan H.S. 4) Owasso H.S. 5) Richland H.S. 6) The Woodlands H.S. 7) Westfield H.S. 8) Haltom H.S. 9) Brazoswood H.S. 10) Marcus H.S. This is assuming Churchill puts up a performance like they did in Houston Prelims. If so, they can shock a few people and run away with a bloodbath of a regional. Quote
Xenon Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 1. Richland/Bell 2. Bell/Richland 3. Churchill 4. Westfield 5. Reagan 6. Owasso 7. Marcus 8. The Woodlands 9. Haltom 10. Brazoswood/Keller Music - Richland Visual - Bell GE - Churchill Edit: No more Cedar Park. Quote
Danpod Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 It's cool. A lot of people are just finding out about Cedar Park not attending Arlington. Can anyone confirm why they are not going?? Quote
arundo Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Does anybody know if they will be doing a Meet me on the field thing at Arlington? Quote
bored2damax Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Im just curios as to where markus is from, i have never heard of them and i wanted to know if they were good? Quote
Moose Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 MAUCUS... is from Flower Mound, and they have an AMAZING drumline, as well as a great band. If you were at the super regional last year, they were the band with the big flowers, bubbles, and the colorguard that were dressed up like owls. They have a very creative design staff, as I have heard that this years shows is even better designed than last years. Quote
bored2damax Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 are you talking about the band that was really amazing but had the colorguard dress as a drummajor bug and dance all funny? Cause that show was cool and i really liked that show but i didnt get that drummajor bug dance part though. Well i hope they make finals. Quote
Xenon Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 They were the ones with the hydraulic lift for their soloists last year. Quote
specialclunker Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Marcus is a Lewisville school along with flower mound hs, the colony hs, hebron hs, and lewisville hs. Quote

No you are probably talking about Haltom High School from Haltom City. But none the less another great band. Quote

themainclarinet Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Marcus has an awesome drum line. I think they always win first at the Belton contest??? please correct me if I am wrong. CP isn't going to Arlington so that they get a weekend off from contest. They did the same thing last year. They have attended some local contests such as Westlake which they one first at this past weekend! 2 years in a row! Quote
G'townPIT Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Quote Marcus has an awesome drum line. I think they always win first at the Belton contest??? please correct me if I am wrong. Nope Georgetown has won the Belton Contest the last 2 years. But Marcus has gone to PASIC which is a national contest and they've won that like 12 times since 1992 or something. Or maybe you meant the Plano drumline competition? they've won that a few times i beleive. Their drumline has a pretty cool site: www.marcusdrumline.org Quote

chsgpband06 Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 First of all Hebron HS is in Carrollton. Marcus is called Flower Mound Marcus. and they are sub-divisions in Lewisville. We went to BOA-Arlingon last year wasnt good for us. Quote
oh_snap44 Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Moose said: and the colorguard that were dressed up like owls. Actually, they were supposed to be fairies. Not sure anyone ever got that last year...including the band. I've never heard owls before....but I can see where you get it. Marcus is in Flower Mound, but it's not "Flower Mound Marcus High School". The actual name is "Edward S. Marcus", but I seriously doubt you'll hear them by anything other than "Marcus" at competitions etc. Quote

bariphonium Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Not just the Super-Regional, but also Nats. Richland, Reagan, Bell, and I think Owasso are going. It's a shame Churchill isn't. This is gonna be a great year. Quote
