I love how everyone pretty much put their own band on top, not surprising but still pretty funny. Either way talk is cheap, let's just settle it on the field. Just keep in my mind a top band will be left out because of the ordinal system and a couple of bands will be extremely disappointed come Saturday. Still good luck to all and represent the region to the best of your ability.

I'm already sad for whatever band gets left out.

I just don't think it's right. =[

That being said though:

I think between the top 11 bands, you will only see a spread of MAYBE 5-8 points. I wouldn't be surprised for example if the 11th place band scored a 90.0 and 1st place was only a 95.0. It's going to be THAT close.

From what I've heard of performances today, I'd have to put Aledo first in Prelims

Just waiting to see Southwest!!!

Really wish I could be there. This contest would be held on the one weekend I'm not able to make it home. Oh well. I'm looking forward to getting those prelims results.

Anyone have a way to see the judges sheet from this area - just saw Area F judges sheet and it cleared up a lot of questions.

I know that Centennial scores (music to marching) were: 1, 1, 1, 3, 1=7

Wakeland (in 2nd place music to marching) scored: 3, 3, 9, 1, 2= 18

That epic moment when:

The Colony drum majors started a drum major wave during retreat.

=]

That was hilarious. I loved the slow motion wave that went around the stadium. XD

Thats what happens when you leave band kids alone when they're nervous and unsupervised.

Who were the drum majors that broke the chain and stopped it though?

Creekview I think. =[

But it's okay. I applaud the Drum Majors for trying. =]

Here's a more complete list of Finals results (scores are still first 3 music, last 2 marching).

1. Centennial: 1, 1, 1, 3, 1=7

2. Wakeland: 3, 3, 9, 1, 2=18

3. Birdville: 7, 2, 3, 4, 5= 21

4. Newman Smith: 8, 4, 2, 2, 7= 23

5. Sherman: 4, 5, 5, 9, 3= 26

6. Aledo: 10, 6, 4, 7, 4= 31

7. Mckinney: 2, 9, 6, 6, 9= 32

8. Frisco: 9, 10, 7, 5, 6= 37

9. Liberty: 6, 7, 10, 8, 8= 39

10. Southwest: 5, 8, 8, 10, 10= 41

Most shocking results here to me are the ONE point difference between being first alternate Mckinney and state bound Aledo...

And also the fact that Wakeland, Birdville and Newman Smith are within 6 points of each other makes me firmly believe that we could see some flip flopping of those results at state.
